Gearing Up!

I feel like I have neglected this blog for a while. This week the church that I am presently serving as the youth pastor, put on a Rummage sale. This was only my second year leading and even being a part of this type of event. We sold everything from stuffed animals to mailboxes. Yes mailboxes. It’s crazy some of the things that one may see as junk, yet when someone else sees it they have vision for that thing.

One of the surprising pieces of treasure were a pair of ten speed bike tires. When we were setting up the sale I was ready to throw those tires away. But as soon as we opened the doors on day one, among the first things to sell were the tires. You see no matter what something looks like, there is always a purpose for it.

As we are gearing up to launch a new ministry and pressing our way to connect to 1,000 people through prayer and a seed (which can be shared by clicking the button on the side), I am becoming more and more encouraged by many of you who continue to speak life into what we are doing. But on the other hand I have had some tires thrown our way. But what I am learning is that those tires can be used to fuel my fire and passion for God.

Jesus in John 10:10 reminds us that, “The thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy…” The enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy your hopes, dreams, relationships, life, and everything that God has promised. Jesus says, “…but I have come that you would have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus has come to restore our hope, dreams, relationships, life, and all the awesome things that God has promised us. Both phrases are important.

We have to understand the enemies desire, because we can never get too comfortable thinking we are untouchable. While at the same time we must hold on to the promise of Christ, that will fuel our movement. So we are moving toward life and having it to the full. With, in, and through Christ life becomes abundant.

No matter who you are, we all have the same enemy who desires to take us out, but through Christ we have an awesome hope. My prayer is that you will join us in the hope of Christ which is to see the world saved. Christ hope is to see all believers living life more abundantly. That is the hope of Lifework Christian Ministries.

For us to move forward in power and strength, we need you to connect with us through PRAYER. There is power in prayer. “The effective, fervent (heartfelt, constant), prayer of the righteous avails much.” After you have prayed with us, I am asking you to donate at least $20 towards God’s movement. If you do that, you will help fuel our fire.

Stay tuned for more of the AWESOME things God is doing.

Thanks in advance,

Pastor O.
