Romans 12:1,6 (Message) So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering…So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.
Today I woke up thinking about what would happen if I really took the advice of this scripture and allowed everything I do to be as an offering to God and not a competitive comparison to everyone else. What would happen? How different would life be? There is something to be said about living a life for God. There is a sense of freedom and confidence that rises up inside of someone who lives their life only gauging their successes and failures by God’s love and grace towards them, and not based on others.
It’s time to recognize the power of you and stop measuring yourself by the grace given to them. God created you to be you. He created you to do what you do. You were designed specifically to live the life you were given, not to try to live someone elses life. Tomorrow when you wake up make the pledge to be who you were made to be. God made you perfectly capable and equipped to deal with whatever life throws your way.
Let’s Get It!!!
