Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Okay, so this weekend I am heading to the city (which I will reveal later) that we are planning to plant the church. This morning Kyla (wifey) asked me if I was excited about this trip and as any man I said, “Excited?!?” when internally I wanted to say YES! But you know I had to keep my cool.
I am the type of person who internalize my excitement often (except when it comes to worship). I rarely wear my emotions on my sleeve.
But my response to her was that I am hopeful. I am one who plans for things and loves the implementation process, but I also believe that God has a plan that takes precedence over our own.
So as I plan this ministry journey I do it with an open mind and heart to the plans of God. I know, I know, I know that many people make this claim, but this is not a claim for me I have the track record to prove it.
In highschool I had no idea I would be accepted to IU-Bloomington, I had no plans of going for my MDiv, I had no plans of doing an exchange program in Jamaica, I had no plans of meeting my wife in Jamaica, I had no plans of coming back to Jamaica for ministry, and I had no plans to start ministry in ……. But God let me know long ago that before he formed me in my mother’s womb, he had a plan for my good and that I would be something great for His Kingdom.
Now I am just walking in his plan, while planning. What are you planning for? Whatever it is, leave room for God’s plan.
